IT Tools at Kindergarten

     DIGITAL TOOLS

     At kindergarten level at Jardín Krakeyen, students were already used to working with IT tools. Their room was prepared with several computers in which they can see videos and digital presentations whenever possible. Therefore, I tried to present different ways to use those tools.

     Firstly I worked on my own preparing a presentation on Flicker so that students can have a different option so that to see pictures that resemble what they can see everyday together with the information they have in their workbooks.
     The first presentation has to do with "People at School"

     As students were also invited to discover the places at school, I chose a funny video in which they could learn how to follow instructions inside a building in which there are some stairs. This video also helped learners have another view of a real place in a house and how to move inside it. The video presents different features, on the one side it is adapted to the students' level, it presents characters that are interesting for the children and it also presents a real house as students could be able to find in everyday life.

     As one of the main issues students had to deal with in the classroom was "Values", I tried to present students how to deal with cleaning during the kindergarten's day. As a result, I prepared another Flicker presentation with pictures that represented real children working in their classrooms. That way, students had the chance to reflect upon the issue about cleaning.

     Finally, I include an online presentation of a power point I created for children to follo the story "The Messy Room".
