A Brief Summary of the Institutional Report and the Group Diagnosis Report
The school where I did the Primary practicum was "Colegio del Sur", a school that has been created together with the kindergarten "Krakeyen". However, "Colegio del Sur" works as an independent and private primary school in which Physical Education together with English as a second language are the most important subjects from first form up to sixth form.

I used I wide variety of pictures to illustrate all the topics students had to deal with during the two lessons. The pictures also helped contextualize the activities as they represented the characters of the stories students had to read and they were also appropriate to students' levels and interests.
I used a wide variety of resources in these lessons starting from flashcards, wordcards, power point presentations, etc. In addition, I prepared some worksheets and pair and group work activities as its was a demanding group.
Here I can show you some of the students' productions. They were really active and participated the whole of the lessons.
As you can see, all students tried their best to compy with the activities, and they did it very well.
Here I leave the journals, that as there were only one observation and two lessons, the observation and the lesson journals are toegether in the same file.
The main aspect of the teaching of a second language that is highlighted throughout the whole institutional project is related to the teaching and learning of a language through and for communicative objectives. Apart from the emphasis on grammar, communication is one of the main goals in the English area. students are prepared to give two important "Trinity" exams in forth form and in sixth form in which one of the aspects that are given great importance is the ability to communicate ideas and feelings orally.
There are two groups per level, one "Blue" and the other "Green". I was assigned fourth "Green" and their teacher was Mariela Waczynski who really organized and prepared the lessons beforehand showing great management skills with the group.
The group in itself was composed by children who came from other provinces and countries (one student from the northwest of our country and another one from Spain) and one or two students who had repeated the level. They really got on very well and they were used to working in an organized manner, always respecting timing, and enjoying the lesson.
The teacher of the group employed some techniques before the lessons began. She used to prepare the group through relaxation techniques, asking children to feel themselves in contact with the land, their mates and their own bodies. That technique only took 5 minutes, and once they finished, the group was ready to begin the lesson.
I will upload one lesson per presentation as each lesson was about 120 minutes, so the lesson plan took me about 20 pages each. Because of the lentgh of the lessons I could comply with the established amount of time for this period in two separate lessons.
